Illustration is Yen’s (love) language. Her drawings offer a version of reality that is equal parts refined and quirky. She couple silhouettes with lots of line work and texture. If this is the style you’re looking for, read on.
Digital illustration is a highly-engaging medium and covers a broad variety of applications and strategies for marketing, promotional, creative, and editorial needs. Illustrations can enhance a blog or news article, be dropped into a book (cover); add interest to your website; uplift social media, impact press releases and press kits; be a gift for presenters/stakeholders; sell public service announcements, marketing and political campaigns on a billboard; enliven television commercials or online videos and so much more.
Yen’s illustrations can be static or wiggle (as a GIF). They can also be timelapse videos as one object or multiple objects unveiling themselves.
The Process
The process starts with a 30-minute discovery meeting where you share your goals are for your audience, how the illustration will be applied (print or digital) and land on the best resolution and file type(s) for your needs.
A proposal and samples are shared; your signed agreement locks in the project and timeline.
A Google Sheet is shared with all the content for the illustration (or script) parsed out by sentence/section. This format allows collaboration in real time. Once finalized, a draft is completed.
A digital draft is completed, allowing for one round of minor edits (a word change or two, changing placement of an object). Additional rounds of edits may be requested for an hourly fee on top of proposal pricing.
Once edits are completed and returned, the final illustration is started and delivered on time — pending all parties are working and communicating following the original timeline.
Digital illustration packages include
• A consultation to understand your vision for pinnacle success.
• Collaboration and organization of timeline, research, and content
• A first draft with one round of edits
• Final illustration delivered digitally in PDF and jpeg
The timeline varies per project and on Yen’s availability seasonally. Please allow for a minimum of 4 weeks to complete projects in summer and winter, and a minimum of 6 weeks in spring and fall. The more notice, the better!

Each project receives a customized proposal and quote that takes consulting and research time, complexity of project, number of edits, and final usage (file types) into consideration. The range of pricing for portions of projects you see at the top of this page range from $600 - $8,000.
